Raw Coconut Shell

Raw coconut shell from mature Indonesian coconuts. The shells come from semi-husked coconuts cut in half, so a portion of coir fiber remains attached to the outer surface. This is the normal condition of the material and is reflected in the price. Buyers who need fully de-fibred or crushed shell should tell us before ordering so we can quote that separately.

Shells are sun-dried in the open, so moisture varies with weather and season.

If your process requires a specific moisture or fiber limit, please state it before ordering and we will confirm whether we can meet it. Third-party lab testing can be arranged at buyer's cost.

Note: residual coir fiber affects ash content and yield after carbonization. Carbon yield and adsorption performance depend on the buyer's own process, and we do not test finished-product performance.

Loading capacity : estimated 5-8 MT per 20ft FCL, or approx. 10-16 MT per 40ft HC. Half shells are hollow and do not compact well, so the container fills on volume before it reaches its weight limit. Actual weight confirmed by trial loading.

Freight note : because the load is light for its volume, freight cost per MT is higher than for crushed or compacted material. Please factor this into your landed cost before ordering.
