In February 1948 a trading company was formed to deal Coal, Charcoal and Hard Coke business gradually the company diversified and expanded its business in different fields.Paper Wax Match was introduced in 1970 as the first local investment Match factory in Pakistan. The company introduced safety wooden matches in 1978, which was a complete success.Later in 1984 (Late) Kh. Aftab Ahmed laid foundation of M/S Fazal Sons Match Industries (Pvt) Ltd. in Lahore, Pakistan as his family owned company.The main brand of the company is "HOCKEY" which is a well known among the masses and enjoys an established position as a single branded product of the local market.The company activities have changed into a group of companies since 2001 with the name Aftab Group Of Companies.In 2002, after several years of experience in the manufacturing and knowledge of strategic marketing network for HOCKEYbrand safety wooden matches, our Group decided to set up a company to produce and market writing instruments.Aftab Sons Writing Instruments Industries was established in 2002 and is located in City Of Gardens LAHORE.
