OUR ROOTS Founded in 1995, Earth Speaks&＃039; founder and designer Bi Li produces her organic hemp collection in China, where a patented process, developed by Chinese scientists more than a decade ago uses a variety of washes and acid treatments to produce a cloth as soft as cotton but with five times the strength. She personally oversees production of customized fabrics and dyes with a strong commitment to the environment and fair labor practices. By producing her entire line in China in sweatshop-free facilities, Earth Speaks is committed to bringing its customers quality products that are pure, beautifully tailored, affordable, socially responsible and environmentally friendly. In addition, all promotional materials are printed with soy-based inks on chlorine-free recycled paper. ON THE LINE Created exclusively of organic hemp blended with organic cotton, silk, yak, and wool, our fibers are cultivated naturally, using natural un-dyed colors without toxic chemicals that poison the ground, the water table, and the air. Refreshingly practical designs with machine washable fabrics maintain their shape and grow better with age.
