Java Tohoku Friction Dust have developed to stabilize the coefficient of friction, decrease Fade, and promote longer wearing. OUR FRICTION DUST are fine reaction products of Cashew Nut Shell Liquid. These products have been developed to stabilize the coefficient of friction, decrease fade, and promote longer wearing qualities of compound friction elements. These products are available in various degrees of hardness, particle size and chemical properties designed for use in each of the many types of processing procedures and friction elements manufactured. They are usually added, in quantities of 5-20% of the total compound weight, with the dry fillers during the blending of the dry ingredients. The fineness of grind will permit each dispersion throughout the entire mix. These particles, being completely reacted resins, require no additional curing agents or catalyst. OUR FRICTION DUST will help to cushion the engagement of a friction element while promoting ( 1) greater resistance to fade, (2) stability of coefficient of friction, (3) reduced wear at all temperature, due to the inherent physical properties of Cashew Nut Liquid resins. These resins are internally plasticized and capable of softening at elevated temperatures, while emitting little residual oil on decomposition. As our products are utilized in Critical Safety components, the inclusion of friction dust. Is of principal importance in the manufacture of brake systems to prevent brake fading, increase wear resistance and maintain a high friction coefficient.
