The Company was originally founded in 1986 in San Jose, California and moved its’ headquarters to Lexington, Kentucky in 2002. Silrec is a privately held company with long-term established relationships with prime wafer manufacturers and crystal growers.The Corporation is a provider of both quality prime and test wafers of all types and dimensions at competitive prices. Additionally, Silrec is capable of specializing wafer requests at our manufacturing and processing facility located in Lexington, Kentucky.Capitalizing on our long term established contacts; Silrec obtains bulk material from quality manufacturers. Our manufacturing and processing facility sorts this material to established specifications, delivering a final product that customers have confidence in.We have a long standing commitment for protecting the environment by recycling scrap silicon material and we have been a pioneer in finding alternative uses for scrap that would otherwise be discarded to landfills. We continually establish new relationships within the silicon industry with a dedicated commitment to explore and recycle scrap material for alternative uses.
